I go to an unusual school. The Liger Learning Center (LLC) is in Cambodia and we have 50 students, 25 boys and 25 girls. This school has a lot of subjects like literacy, math, khmer and especially Liger focus on exploration. All the students come from different provinces in Cambodia. Sometimes students have the opportunity to go to another country and different provinces in Cambodia. This school has just one in Cambodia because all the students are very smart and kind. Liger students have their own computers and they always use computers during the school time. Liger has four houses and every house has one Residential Educator. The goal for this school is to change Cambodia. We learn two languages Khmer and English. I very happy to learn in Liger school because Liger can change my future 100%. This school give me a lot of education and maybe one day I will become expert of somethings.

Youtube Channel

We had created one Youtube Channel which is about soccer. Our team three members and our video we posting about challenges, practicing and skills. Right now we waiting for our school to finish our new stadium which is real grass. After our new stadium build, we will create more new videos about soccer.

3D Design

The main goal in this exploration is we want to teach the students at Chba Aom Pov high school know how to use Free Cad. We have a lot
of problem in this exploration because the computer at the school is don’t work with the program that we want is 123 design so we decide to use free cad because it faster than 123 design. We divide our member into three group and they all need to work with their group to make one video show how to use free cad. I know we have a lot of challenge but we have to do it. Sometimes when I stress I always have a great solution my teacher name Waseem he have a wonderful funny laughing so he make me feel better when I stress. When we make the video already than we edit it and maybe we will use it and give to Chba Aom Pov high school and they can follow step by step to learn how to use free cad. We not reach our goal yet maybe we will still continue our exploration next time.

One day there was a colony of ants living near a big tree in the forest under the soil in tunnels. They lived with happiness and teamwork. In this colony, there were many roles and jobs for the ants to do. Ant colonies have queens who lay the eggs; many males that breed with the queen; worker ants who gather food; maintain tunnels; and work to keep the offspring clean and healthy; and soldier ants who help to defend the colony.

 

ថ្ងៃមូយមាន​​ស្រមោចមួយក្រុមរស់នៅក្នុងរូងក្រោមដីក្បែរដើមឈើធំ​មួយនៅក្នុងព្រៃ។ ពួកគេរស់នៅ

One of the worker ants, Thida, and one of the soldier ants, Sara, were best friends. When the queen laid her new eggs, Thida and the other worker ants had to carry the thirty thousand eggs to hatching chambers and work hard to keep them clean and healthy. Thida and Sara didn’t get to spend as much time together, and they missed one another.

Thida’s work was only beginning. A week later, the eggs hatched and became larvae, which look like tiny white worms. The worker ants needed to work even harder to feed the larvae, who kept swaying to attract their attention. Thida and Sara saw less and less of each other.

A few weeks later the larvae formed to pupae. This is a stage between larvae and adulthood where the young ants form cocoons and begin to transform inside. It’s also a non-feeding time, so Thida finally got a break from collecting food for awhile. But now Sara was about to get busy.

One night during the pupae stage a pangolin named Sambo came by the ant’s hill. Sambo stuck his snout and long tongue into the tunnel and smelled thousands of pupae. His favorite snack! Sambo’s stomach started to growl with hunger.

របស់សំបូរចាប់ផ្តើមកូរ ថែមទាំងឃ្លានទៀតផង ។

Thida saw Sambo but she didn’t know how to scare him away. This was a job for the soldier ants. Thida hurried to Sara and the other soldier ants and vibrated her antennae to warn them about the invader. The soldier ants had already smelled the enemy and were on the move. They had to protect the queen and the colony!

Thousands of brave soldier ants swarmed all over Sambo’s snout. They bit and stung him with painful venom. Sambo tried very hard to take his snout out of the ant’s tunnel but he couldn’t because his snout was too big. Finally he used his claws to free himself and run away.

យ៉ាងលឿនបំផុត ។

The ant colony was saved. Three weeks later, the pupae transformed to adult ants. Thida and Sara understood the role they each played in protecting the next generation are workers and soldiers. All their hard work and time apart had ensured the colony’s future, and that was more important than their friendship.

មិត្តភាពរបស់ពួកគេ ។

 

 

PBL Project-based learning

This exploration had 7 weeks long and we make our own meaning of PBL.
Project-based learning is an educational method that involves inspiring students in problem solving and investigative activities to gain deeper knowledge, skills, and experiences; giving students the opportunity to actively explore challenging questions and real-world problems outside of the classroom resulting in realistic products, solutions or other outcomes.

We went to see the students presentation in Kratie and it was good. We had big experience at their because we not sleep in other people’s house we camping it was great the first night but the second night had a big problem but great. It was rain and we run around singing under the rain and it was great. All the students presentation and acting are great. They said they want to continue PBL learning style.

Marine Conservation Cambodia (MCC)

A group of 12 students from the Liger Learning Center, in Phnom Penh, learned about marine conservation in Cambodia, during a seven week long project. The group researched to learn more about marine life and understand the problems of marine ecosystems in Cambodia. The biggest goal of this Exploration is to protect marine ecosystems in Cambodia. To accomplish this goal the students worked really hard to finish this Proposal for a Feasibility Study of Algal Farming as an Alternative Livelihood for Cambodian Fishermen. We had been to Koh Seh to learn about marine life in Cambodia and the place name Marine Conservation Cambodia (MCC). My favorite things on the island are snorkel and diving. We have some problems at there too because they don’t have a lot of fresh water so we have to use less fresh water. We love to be there.

Frisbee golf

My game is frisbee golf. I not using basket I using the stick. This game they can play in team or single player. I have 9 sticks and they all far from each other than all player have to throw from the start until the frisbee get to the second stick and they count how many throw to get the second stick. Until the last stick they count all the throw and who get the least throw is the winner of the game. There are two style to throw the frisbee backhand and forehand.

Safety
Non-players are routinely found in the course environment.

All the rule in the game
Players should not throw until they are certain the thrown disc will not distract another player or injure anyone present.
Players should take care to not distract other players while it is their turn.
Littering on the course is discouraged and considered a courtesy violation.
Players are expected to watch where other players’ discs go and search for discs in the event they are lost.

Minister Day

Ministry day is one of the history day for Liger. I in recruitment team first time I think I was scared when I share my knowledge to other people. About 2 round later I felt normal and I share more than I got. I proud of myself and all Liger students because we teach famous people and boss of school. Everybody do a great job because at home they prepare it nicely I always see them practice everywhere at night morning and free time. I think 25 minutes is not enough time for my group because of question if have one people ask other people ask to so we don’t have enough time to play our game with them. I little bit disappointed because the minister not come and I know his problem I know next time he will come to Liger again soon. Yesterday is my lesson because it help me to be brave when I do presentation. This time is complicate for me because most of the time I always do in English but this time I do in Khmer and make me confused some part.
